Time is invisible in people's daily life. We don't even realize that time is passing by every second. I keep considering what time is. How can time be represented? Then I made this sculpture by using rice and clay to form the "TIME." The accumulation of rice means the weight of time. Based on the statue, I combined the medieval layout style with the modern one and came up with a zine about time. Chinese people eat rice every day. The accumulation of rice represents the rice we eat all our life. When we look at the numerous rice around these four letters, we can visualize how long we have lived in this world. On the other hand, each person looks like a grain of rice. People are tiny compared with infinite time.
